Katy Perry To Perform With Salman Khan At IPL Opening Ceremony

Trust the IPL organisers to put together an enviable line up for the opening ceremony of IPL 2012. Yes, besides Bollywood biggies like Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra and Amitabh Bachchan, who will be performing at opening ceremony of this year’s Indian Premier League, Indian will also play host to international pop star Katy Perry.

Perry is scheduled to perform at the opening ceremony of IPL, which is to be held in Chennai on 3 April 2012.

In a press note, IPL Chairman, Rajeev Shukla, said, “We look forward to Ms. Perry’s participation at the DLF IPL 2012 Opening Nite. A performer of her calibre makes the occasion even more special for the IPL family – players, organisers and fans. The verve and originality of her music matches that of the competition and we look forward to an inspired performance from her.”

Last year, international singer Akon had performed during IPL.
