Kartik Aaryan has surely come a long way out of his Punchnama boy image and is now one of the most soughtafter actors in Bollywood. He was last seen in Imtiaz Ali’s Love Aaj Kal along with Sara Ali Khan. Though the film turned out to be a commercial let down, his demand amongst the makers seems to be least affected.
Now, as per the latest report that is doing rounds, it seems like Kartik Aaryan has miffed producer Ekta Kapoor with his demand for high fees. Reportedly, Ekta offered a project to Kartik Aaryan, but he turned it down stating date issues but the real reason is said to be different.
A source close to the Bollywood Hungama quotes, “Kartik first offered her the age-old ghisa-pita excuse of dates nahin hai. Shrugging his shoulders helplessly. But it seems Kartik and Ekta couldn’t agree on the payment.” It is also learnt that the actor is demanding a higher rate than Varun Dhawan and Shahid Kapoor, due to the golden run with recent releases.
Meanwhile, Kartik recently contributed Rs 1 crore to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s PM-Cares fund in support of the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
“It is the absolute need of the hour to rise together as a nation. Whatever I am, whatever money I have earned, is only because of the people of India; and for us I am contributing Rs 1 crore to the PM-Cares fund. I urge all my fellow Indians also to help as much as possible,” the actor wrote on Instagram on Monday morning.
