The past couple of years too have been extremely successful for Karan Johar as films like Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Baahubali 2, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Kapoor and Sons and Dear Zindagi won them not just critical acclaim but also Box-Office numbers. The producer turned director is looking to carry forward the success.
The upcoming films produced by Dharma ranges from an out and out commercial romantic comedy like Student of The Year 2 to a serious content driven thriller like Raazi to a period drama like Kesari to a fantasy film like Brahmastra to a fiction warrior film like Rannbhoomi to an intense love story like Dhadak, and finally a full-fledged action entertainer like Simmba.
Johar has probably covered almost all possible film genres and is taking the right steps to make Dharma reach the pinnacle of success. The star-producer via his actions proved that he doesn’t pay heed to the needless “opinions” thrown on twitter as in 2018 itself he would be launching 5 star-kids in three films i.e. Dhadak, Student of The Year 2 and Simmba, all of which look promising from the business point of view.

Almost all major stars of the industry i.e. Akshay Kumar, Ranbir Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Tiger Shroff, and Jacqueline Fernandez to name a few, have been signed on for a film each by the production house. While success of neither of the films mentioned above is assured, but the ventures announced by Karan Johar under his production house are ambitious and he has taken a step to raise the bar of Bollywood films.
The above-mentioned films apart, Karan Johar regularly keeps on discussing scripts with Shah Rukh Khan, and there is a possibility of Johar working with the superstar for the fifth time in his career soon.
