Deepika in a promotional tactic made her debut on TikTok. In one of the videos that she did, she challenged an influencer to recreate three of her looks – Om Shanti Om, Piku and Chhapaak. For the unversed, Kangana’s sister Rangoli Chandel is also an acid attack survivor herself and this has hurt the actress more. Kangana in an interview with India Today, said, “Rangoli is an acid attack survivor and she was very hurt seeing the video. Sometimes, marketing teams tend to go overboard with their promotions, and I am sure Deepika must be having some explanation for this.” She further cleared that Deepika has to issue an apology to the hurt acid attack victims.

“The people who are hurt like my sister should be apologised to. This is not a make-up look and nobody should try and achieve it. That kind of insensitivity should be apologised for and there is no harm in doing that because we all make mistakes,” she said.

The negative gaga around Deepika began when the actress went on ground zero to support the students of JNU during the protest against the violence. While talking about the same, Kangana in an interview with SpotbyE had said, “I think women should support women and I am not somebody to comment on what Deepika has done or should have done. She was exercising her democratic right, but if I were given the choice I would never stand behind the Tukde Tukde gang.”
