John Abraham To Step In The Shoes Of Jason Statham? The Transporter Remake On Cards!

Over the years, John Abraham has emerged as one of the biggest action heroes in Bollywood and maintained a streak by choosing the scripts that suit his image. While the recent releases like Romeo Akbar Walter and Satyameva Jayate had a different backdrop, there was a scope left for some robust action sequences. Now as per the latest reports flowing in, John Abraham is all set to remake Hollywood action franchise, The Transporter.

The report in Deccan Chronicle states that John Abraham is in the talks of acquiring the rights of The Transporter and its sequels and will himself play the lead in the remake. The source of the industry quoted, “It is a very good film for the kind of personality that John himself has. One is that it is a role of a ruthless mercenary who does his work with no questions asked”.

The source further added, “The second is that it is a guy who loves to drive and John is pretty cool behind the wheels as well. JA Entertainment will acquire the said rights along with another film corporate so that John can play the lead in all the four films that come as a franchise,” reports Deccan Chronicle.

John Abraham believes he is in the “purple patch” of his career, and rightfully so. The actor, who changed his big screen game from the time he turned producer, says his best is yet to come and that the next five years are “very defining” for him.
