The film that stars Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee in key roles and is being directed by Neeraj Pandey.

Earlier the rumour mills were abuzz with the news of a delay in the release of the film. The reason being cited for this delay was that, since the movie is set against the army backdrop, the Defence Ministry wants to review the film.

The defence ministry has suggested 4-5 crucial cuts and the talks are on with the makers. Neeraj Pandey can either approach court or cut the scenes; both cases will take time.

But its confirmed now, Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted to confirm the news of, Aiyaary releasing on 16th of February, 2018 instead of its earlier date i.e. 9th February, 2018. The film has had multiple release dates, due to different issues cropping up as obstacles in its path of release.

Earlier when asked if these things will affect the way the film is made and released, Sidharth had said: “Our producers are tackling it. It’s in the process. Each film has its own reasons. We have seen what happened with that film (Padmaavat).

“Our film doesn’t have severe issues as far as I know after talking with my producers. I have full faith that our producers will come up with a positive result, so I don’t see any issue with that. I hope that our film have smooth release.”

Based on a real-life incident that revolves around two strong-minded army officers having completely different views, and are yet right in their own ways. This is the first time when Sidharth Malhotra is teaming up with Manoj Bajpayee and Neeraj Pandey. The film is shot in Delhi, London, and Kashmir.
