Bollywood’s blue-eyed boy, Ranbir Kapoor, turns a year older today as he awaits the release of his film Anjaana Anjaani. Born into the illustrious Kapoor family, Ranbir is the son of actors Rishi and Neetu Kapoor. The youth icon turns 28 today (28th September, 2010) but plans to spend the day promoting his film. With the film being postponed because of the Babri Masjid-Ayodhya verdict, the team seems to be putting an extra effort to push their movie. The actor plans to catch up with a few friends and have a quiet dinner with his family for his birthday.

Ranbir began his career in as an assistant to director Sanjay Leela Bhansali in the 2005 film Black. He then made his acting debut with Bhansali in Saawariya opposite another star child, Sonam Kapoor. Ranbir went on to work in films like Bachna Ae Haseeno, Wake Up Sid, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year and Rajneeti. Ranbir is currently working on director Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar and Anurag Basu’s Silence.
