After the grand success of Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, Ajay Devgn is surely on a cloud nine and now the movie buffs are more excited about his upcoming films. Amongst the multiple releases the actor has this year, Bhuj: The Pride Of India is certainly one major outing to look out for. Right from the concept to the star cast, everything about the film is fetching attention.
Now, the latest reports flowing regarding Bhuj: The Pride Of India are that the makers have recreated Pakistan in Bhopal for the shoot. The shoot in Bhopal kick-started in mid-January. It is also learnt that tanks and other vehicles are being used for the realistic effect in the film which has a backdrop of war.
The report in Bollywood Hungama also adds that Nora Fatehi, who is also part of the project, to wrap up her schedule by 31st January. She has already done with some important scenes and a song.
Directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya, Bhuj: The Pride Of India is slated to release on 14th August 2020. It also features Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Sharad Kelkar, Ammy Virk and Ihana Dhillon in key roles.
The period drama looks back into the journey of 300 women from Madhapar village of Gujarat’s Kutch district, who played a pivotal role in helping India win the 1971 Indo-Pak war. The women came together to rebuild and repair the only runway in Bhuj, which was crucial for the war.
Meanwhile, Ihana Dhillon expressed that she is proud to be a part of the project. Ihana plays an Air Force officer and has been paired opposite Ammy Virk.
“It’s a brilliant script, and essaying the role of an Air Force officer is totally new for me. It’s challenging. My director Abhishek ji is extremely clear in his head about this character. The film shows the independence of women back in 1971. I am extremely proud to be associated with this project,” Ihana said.
