Sharing the picture with the audience, Ajay in a tweet wrote, “It’s a privilege to present @ajaydevgn sir’s first look as Sq. Ld. Vijay Karnik from my upcoming directorial film #BhujThePrideOfIndia . #14Aug2020.”
The premise of the film is set during the 1971 Indo-Pak war. It talks about the 300 women from the Madhapur village who played a pivotal part in winning the war. The women came together to repair and rebuild the only runway in Bhuj which happened to be a major contribution to the war.
Alongside Ajay, the film also stars Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjay Dutt Ihana Dhillon, Ammy Virk and Pranitha Subhash. For Pranitha who has done commendable work in the South, Bhuj: The Pride of India is a debut project in Bollywood.
Pranitha recently while talking to IANS about Ajay said, “Ajay sir is so disciplined on sets. He is so natural when it comes to acting and the best thing about him is that as soon as the director says action, he gets into the character and gets out of it as soon as the director says cut. There was so much to learn from him and I feel blessed to have worked with him in my first Bollywood film.”
Directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya, the film is set to hit the screens on August 14, 2020.
