The ripples of the Beirut explosion were so huge that the windows and doors of the distant buildings were shattered.
A large explosion rocked the Lebanese capital, Beirut on Tuesday killing nearly 73 people and injuring more than 4,000 people. Videos of the terrifying incident went viral on the internet showing flipping cars, shattered windows and doors of the distant buildings.
Reportedly, the blast occurred in the port area which impacted a large part of the capital city. Local media reported that the explosion was deafening and several people were trapped beneath the rubble. Rescue process is underway.

Lebanon Prime minister Hassan Diab called the incident a real catastrophe and assured that those responsible must be held to account.
In a statement, he said, “People are asking the emergency department about their loved ones and it is difficult to search at night because there is no electricity. We are facing a real catastrophe and need time to assess the extent of damages.”
While Lebanon officials are currently investigating the cause behind this explosion and are helping to clean the wreckage, several Bollywood celebrities took to twitter to share solidarity for the people of Beirut. The alleged incident came at a time when Lebanon is already amidst the economic battle. The country is tackling unemployment and poverty rates soaring beyond 50 per cent. Tensions were also high due to the verdict in the trial of the killing of the Ex-Prime Minister Rafic Hariri is remaining. He was allegedly killed in 2005 by the four main accused part of the Hezbollah group.
