After watching Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan, everyone has been raving about the little girl Harshali Malhotra in the film. Playing the mute Pakistani girl in the film, we were very much curious to know how the pretty kid is in real life. Well, the makers would have to agree that the most difficult task in casting her for the role would have been keeping her quiet.

“Harshaali never keeps quiet. During workshops, Mukesh (Chhabra, the casting director) used to tell me that he was worried how she could keep quiet,” Harshaali’s mother Kajal Malhotra said in an interaction with journalists.

While most parents of child actors have a problem with the shooting schedules affecting their kids, Harshali’s mother quipped, “There is no difference in her as a person. The way she was earlier is exactly how she is now.”

Of course, working on the set can be really consuming and tiring. She adds, “Whenever there was action or any high-pitched sound, she would get scared. But Salman (Khan) and Kabir (Khan) would take special efforts to ensure that she interacts with other co-stars by playing, after which she became comfortable during the shoot.”

No doubt with such great care being taken on the sets, Harshaali truly had a great experience working on the film.
