Bachchan Pandey marks the second collaboration between Akshay Kumar and Kriti Sanon after he directed the duo in the recently released Housefull 4. While Kriti Sanon is looking forward to being a part of Bachchan Pandey many had questioned the relevance and length of the Heropanti actresses role in the film.

And now, finally director Farhad Samji has revealed what Kriti’s ole looks like in the film and has even gone on record to say that Kriti’s role in Bachchan Pandey is even better than that of a parallel lead.

Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Farhad said, “It is better than a parallel hero’s role. It is a very meaty role not done by any other actress in the past. But that does not mean that she will also get to do songs. She will do 2 songs also and will have a substantial part to play as well.”

The announcement of Kriti joining the cast of Bachchan Pandey was made on the official Twitter account of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment (NGE). The post read, “We’re extremely happy and elated to announce the charming @kritisanon is here to make our Christmas 2020 merrier than ever! ?

Meanwhile, it is being reported that Bachchan Pandey will feature Kriti Sanon playing a south Indian girl for which she is also perfecting the dialect and Akshay Kumar will play a villager fighting with plenty of goons for his lady love. The film, that was earlier slated for a December release has now be postponed to avoid a clash with Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha.
