Directed by Aanand L Rai, Atrangi Re is Sara’s 5th film and the excitement among her fans is sky-high. While the usually confident Sara says she is always sure about everything she does, she was not quite sure about signing Atrangi Re.
In a recent conversation with Mid-Day, Sara revealed, “I am sure of what I want to do — be it the movies I choose or the public image I carry. Honestly, when I read the script of Atrangi Re, I wasn’t convinced I could do the film. The character is a tough one to pull off, and I want to do one hell of a job trying to prove otherwise. Akshay sir is someone I deeply admire, and Dhanush is a talented and understated actor. The idea is to work with diverse actors.”

While the film announcement show’s Sara being kissed by the two heroes of the film, netizens were quick to ask if Sara was uncomfortable kissing men quite older to her, the newbie was quick to say, “Aanand sir depicts his women authentically, and that’s what drew me to the film. Cinema is a director’s medium. The filmmakers I work with are sensitive [towards the depiction of women], but I don’t involve myself in the writing at all.”
Meanwhile, directed by Imtiaz Ali, Love Aaj Kal is set to release on the 14th February 2020. The film features Sara Ali Khan, Kartik Aaryan and Randeep Hooda in pivotal roles.
