Arshad Warsi better kick the butt. The chain-smoking actor has denied allegations that he and Tushar Kapoor smoked cigarettes in a college campus in Goa on April 27. The actor, against whom a police complaint has been filed by the National Organisation for Tobacco Eradication (NOTE), tweeted on April 28, “(The news about) Tushar and me smoking on the campus is not true. I smoked outside the campus and Tushar does no smoke at all.” The actors were shooting at a college in Margao, Goa, when the alleged incident occurred.
This is not the first instance where a Bollywood star has been pulled up for smoking in public places. Shah Rukh Khan was sent a legal notice by NOTE in 2007 for smoking at a public convention in an India-Australia T-20 Match in Bombay.
