Join UsBollywood star Akshay Kumar shot to fame with the action-packed ‘Khiladi’ films, but very few know the man behind the popular slew of action films. Keshu Ramsay, the producer of as many as five Khiladi films starring Akshay Kumar, passed away on October 19th.
Keshu was a cinematographer, producer and director, but was most well-known for his films with Akshay Kumar in the ‘90s: Khiladi 420, International Khiladi, Mr. & Mrs. Khiladi, Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi and Sabse Bada Khiladi. The last film he produced was Family: Ties of Blood (2006) starring Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar.
Keshu, belonging to the Ramsay brothers, is survived by his family: Dinku Ramsay, Mayur Ramsay and Sagar Ramsay. The Ramsay brothers – Keshu, Kumar, Shyam, Tulsi and Kiran – were the undisputed kings of horror films in Bollywood in the ‘80s with films like Veerana, Purana Mandir and Sannata. We pay our respects to Keshu Ramsay. May his soul rest in peace.
