Aamir Khan, who was last seen in Thugs Of Hindostan, is all set to star in a very special project. Tom Hanks’ Forrest Gump will be remade in Hindi as Lal Singh Chaddha, and we couldn’t have asked for a better Forrest than Aamir.
It’s also been said, Aamir and team aren’t the first ones to approach the original makers of Forrest Gump for the Hindi remake. Many filmmakers from Bollywood had tried to grab the rights, but the Forrest Gump makers were keen for someone like Aamir to portray the titular role.
A source close to Hindustan Times has revealed many interesting things about Aamir’s connection with the film. It says, “The original makers have heard good things about India’s one of the finest actors, Aamir Khan and his knack for perfection in movie making. Despite good offers earlier, the makers decided to give its remake rights to the production who brings Aamir involved in the project. It took more than five years to finalise the deal”
Aamir Khan will have a Dangal Dejavu as far as the fitness of his character is considered. The source adds, “The actor follows a special diet consisting of sabzi roti and some protein intake. He will also undergo the training for his look after September. As of now, Aamir is involving himself in the overall creative aspects for the project.” For this transformation to play his character’s younger self in the movie, Aamir is said to lose 20 kgs for it. We’ve seen it in the past and by now we know, “Woh Aamir hai, (acting ke liye) kuch bhi kar sakta hai.”
