Rustom enjoyed even better occupancy on Saturday, when compared to Friday. The fact that it is running on only 2317 screens has actually gone in its favor as auditoriums are going full. It is a different kind of pleasure altogether to watch a film with full house audience and when it is a court room drama like Rustom which has ample ‘seeti-taali maar’ moments in the second half, the fun only turns exponential.
Rustom is benefiting from good word of mouth and that reflected in 16.43 crore more that came on Saturday. It is clear that audience has given a nod of approval to the film and with no real competition from any other film in the running, this is turning out to be a favorable choice. For Zee Studios and KriArj Entertainment, it is time to laugh all the way to the bank since the film – which has been made on a controlled budget despite the presence of a superstar like Akshay Kumar – has already managed to bring in 30.54 crore.

The film is set to have a hefty Sunday and Monday, which would bring the film into a zone where it would be a win-win situation for all involved.

In fact, while Akshay Kumar is indeed enjoying the form of his life, the film has also proven to be quite an affair for Ileana D’Cruz who is now enjoying her third Bollywood success after Barfi! and Main Tera Hero. She can well leave the disappointment of Happy Ending behind. Esha Gupta too is back in contention after a hiatus and one waits to see the kind of choices that she makes from this point on. As for Arjan Bajwa, the film is now a major platform for him to consolidate now.
