So Illuminati split et al have been doing the rounds in the market and hence Dinesh Vijan’s directorial project starring Saif Ali Khan and Parineeti Chopra has been a question mark for sometime. Till sometime back people were rest assured that the project is shelved for good. But when Koimoi contacted Parineeti Chopra, she gave us the clear, real picture of what’s up on that front.
She said, “My film with Saif Ali Khan is put on hold this year. The film was earlier scheduled to go sometime this year but now it has gone ahead because Saif is doing Reema’s film first after Phantom. I have to finish Kill Dil‘s promotions which will take almost the whole of November. This year we are not shooting this film, we will begin January onwards. Dinu is extremely busy with Happy Endings. All three of us were busy so we decided to finish our respective work and come back for this project.”

It’s a known fact how much she is in awe of Saif but a little stint of hosting awards made her sure that the Nawab is an easy man to work with. Talking about Saif, she added, “With Saif, it will be a different equation because he is a senior. I am not buddies with him. Also I am more in awe of him since I was a kid. But he is a very cool guy. I hosted GIMA awards with him, when I spent a good 3-4 hours working with him and he was such an easy guy to work with. I hope a friendship happens there and it’s breezy at work with him.”

Saif currently is working on Phantom after which he will begin Reema Kagti’s film alongside Kangana Ranaut. In Parineeti’s words, the film with the Nawabi dude is anything but shelved.
