Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD created a sensation when it was released. The film is inspired by Hindu scriptures, and the story follows a group of characters on a mission to protect the unborn child Kalki from the lab subject SUM-80. Fans have eagerly awaited the sequel, mainly after the first part scored a good hit.
Recently, producer C. Aswini Dutt shared an update about the sequel. As per Filmibeat, he confirmed that Prabhas will join the production of Kalki 2898 AD Part 2 in June 2025. According to reports, the film is expected to complete its shooting and be released by the end of 2026. This announcement has generated excitement among fans.
The cast of Kalki 2898 AD includes Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani. The crew behind the film is filled with talented professionals. Nag Ashwin directed the movie, and C. Aswini Dutt produced it. Swapna Dutt and Priyanka Dutt are the co-producers. Djordje Stojiljkovic did the cinematography. Santhosh Narayanan composed the music, with lyrics by Krishnakanth.

Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao handled the editing. Nitin Zihani Choudhary managed the production design. Sai Madhav Burra wrote additional dialogues. The costume designer for Kalki 2898 AD was Archana Rao. The art directors were Anil Jadhav, Santosh Shetty, Velu, and Rembon. VFX creative producer Praveen Kilaru worked on the visual effects.
The stunts were choreographed by King Solomon, Andy Long, Peter Heins, Satish, Anbariv, and Nick Powell. THE POST CO did post-production. Raghunath Kemisetty handled the sound design, with the additional sound design done by Kingshuk and Anirban. The Immortal Collective created the concept art. Venu Gopal served as the concept and storyboard artist.
