Sidharth Shukla has become a household name, all thanks to his stint in Bigg Boss 13. He emerged victorious in the reality show and since then, he has garnered an immense following social media. Now, the actor is all set to enter OTT world by debuting in the third season of Broken But Beautiful.
Sidharth has earned fame through his tv shows like Balika Vadhu, Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 6 and others. In Bollywood too, he earned praise for his portrayal in Varun Dhawan led Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. Now, the 40-year-old is all set to foray into the web world with Broken But Beautiful season 3. He’ll be seen opposite Sonia Rathee.
Ahead of his web debut, Sidharth Shukla made a surprising revelation while talking to Mid Day. He said, “I haven’t watched too many web shows. I know I sound ancient when I say that, especially when the whole world is hooked to the web. But I prefer to watch the news channels.” He even revealed saying that he has never met Broken But Beautiful producer Ekta Kapoor. “I have never met Ekta. She is fantastic at her work and understands the pulse of the audience. Producers don’t necessarily come for the narrations, so she wasn’t there during the reading of Broken…. I am looking forward to meeting her,” he quoted.
Sidharth Shukla further added that he is a bit nervous for web debut as Vikrant Massey’s act has earned fame to the first two seasons and there’s a huge responsibility on him. “I haven’t had the time to watch the show, but I know that it was immensely successful. Naturally, I am nervous. There is a bit of pressure as the first two seasons have fared well. Vikrant’s acting has been applauded, and people liked their chemistry,” he said.
The Bigg Boss 13 winner also added that no matter how’s the content on tv is, the medium has a huge viewers’ base.
“I am proud of the projects I did on TV. But I usually did not comment on TV shows because I simply did not watch them. Of course, daily soaps were my bread and butter, but I am not their target audience. We often accuse TV shows of being regressive, but they have a huge target audience that wants to view these shows,” he continued.
