Malayalam Cinema is heading towards another disaster, bringing no relief for Tovino Thomas as his action drama, Pallichattambi, struggles to find its footing, signaling a massive disappointment at the box office. The box office trend for the film has been underwhelming, with the second weekend failing to provide the much-needed jump. As it stands, at a total collection of 11.28 crore, the film is clearly heading towards a Flop verdict at the box office!
How Much Loss Will Pallichattambi Make?
If the current trend continues, Pallichattambi is expected to wrap up its theatrical run with a significant shortfall. Mounted on an ambitious budget of 45 crore, the film is looking at a loss of almost 32 crore at the box office!

The action drama has recovered only 25% of its budget after two full weekends. Usually, for a film of this scale, the first 10 days are crucial to cover at least 60-70% of the cost to stay in the race for a successful verdict.
A 32-crore deficit is a massive blow for any regional film, and for Tovino Thomas, this could be one of the most challenging box office setbacks in his career. While the actor’s performance has been noted, the heavy budget has become the film’s biggest enemy.
Helmed by Dijo Jose Anthony and rated 7.5 on IMDb, the official synopsis of the film says, “Chattambi, a scheming man in a small town, survives by staying ahead of his neighbors through risky plans. When his schemes backfire, his survival depends on extricating himself from the mess he created.”
