Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11 recently came to an end, with Manisha Rani crowned as the winner of this season. The dancing reality show started in 2006 and was based on the BBC’s show Strictly Come Dancing & Dancing with the Stars. The first season of the show was won by Mona Singh and was hosted by Archana Puran Singh and Parmeet Sethi.

After that, in consecutive years, many stars hosted the show. Right from Rohit Roy, Shiv Pandit, Shweta Tiwari, Mona Singh, Sumeet Raghavan, Ragini Khanna, Kapil Sharma, Drashti Dhami, Ranvir Shorey, Manish Paul to Gauahar Khan & Rithvik Dhanjani. While some of these names are celebrated hosts, others participated and were finalists of the show in some or the other season.

Hosts of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11, Gauahar Khan, and Rithvik Dhanjani were also participants in season 3 and season 5, respectively, and both of them reached the grand finale. While Gauahar’s season was won by Baichung Bhutia, Rithvik’s season was won by Gurmeet Choudhary. The two stars hosted season 11 and were paid a sum of 5 lakh each per episode as the fee.

Both Gauahar and Rithvik earned somewhere around 1.65 crore by the end of the season. But what if we tell you that they were not the highest-paid hosts on the show? In fact, while they both received fat paychecks for hosting the dance reality show, there was someone who got paid much better.

It was in season 5 – 9 that the celebrated host and presenter Maniesh Paul hosted Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. In fact, Maniesh was paid 92% higher than Gauahar Khan. While Gauahar was paid 5 lakh per episode, Manieh was paid close to 10 lakh. In fact, for the entire season of JDJ 9, he was offered a sum of 2.5 crore to host the show.

According to reports, Maniesh Paul‘s 2.5 crore fee for hosting the dance reality show was actually the highest paid in the history of the show. He earned close to 9.6 lakh every single episode.

In fact, Maniesh Paul is said to be one of the highest-paid non-Bollywood hosts in the history of the show. The actor has been busy with events and gigs, but fans wish he would come back soon on our TV screens and entertain us like before.
