Student Of The Year 2 Box Office: Looks like the new batch featuring Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria, has connected well with the audiences with their latest outing. Despite the not-so-great buzz, the musical college drama opened on a decent note and further grew on the second day. On Sunday too, it maintained stability despite elections in some parts of the country and the anticipated IPL finale. With its 3-day weekend total, the movie has surpassed successes including Vicky Kaushal’s Uri: The Surgical Strike and Kartik Aaryan’s Luka Chuppi.

Student Of The Year 2 earned 12.75 crores* on Sunday, to take its 3-day weekend total to 38.83 crores*. With this figure, it surpassed the weekend total of Uri: The Surgical Strike (35.73 crores) and Luka Chuppi (32.13 crores).

On a whole, SOTY 2 has accumulated a 6th highest opening weekend collections (excluding Hollywood release Avengers: Endgame and Captain Marvel) of Bollywood in 2019, after Kesari (78.07 crores), Gully Boy (72.45 crores), Kalank (66.03 crores), Total Dhamaal (62.40 crores), Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi (42.55 crores).

Actress Tara Sutaria is not disappointed with the mixed reviews that her maiden Bollywood film “Student Of The Year 2” (SOTY) has received from the critics and audience.

Asked if she was disappointed, Tara told the media: “I am not feeling disappointed, but I am feeling really happy that it has been accepted so well. I think what we envisioned for the film, according to that, we feel lucky and thankful that it has opened so well at the box office.
