Akshay Kumar is gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated cop drama Sooryavanshi and has his kitty overflowing with films. Meanwhile many are in awe of the superstar for working around the clock and some have even taken digs at him for the same. Akshay has now opened up on doing numerous films in a year and here’s what he has to say.
Recently in an interview talking about his three-decade long journey in Bollywood, the actor opened up on what drives him and what he is afraid of. When asked about getting surprised by something unexpected, he opened up on his working style.
In an interview with E Times, the actor said, “In this industry, there are surprises all the time. There are times when you’ve thought that something will work, it doesn’t and strangely, something you did not bank on, works. There’s nothing that you can be too sure of in your life. You can only be sure of being a professional, doing your job and not hurting people with your words.”
He added, “In simple terms, mind your own business. Remembering your basics and staying connected with your roots is way cooler than forgetting them. People find it amusing that I sleep and wake up early. When people question me about it, I find that funny. When people joke about the work I pull off in a year, I feel like telling them that you can do it too, but you chose not to.”
The actor also expressed his love for the uniform and how he enjoys doing stints at the age of 52 as it is safer to perform them compared to 20 years down the line.
Akshay Kumar plays Veer Soorvayanshi in Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi that also stars Katrina Kaif, Jackie Shroff. It has Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn in special appearances. The anticipated film is set to release on March 24.
