It won’t be an exaggeration to say that starting January 2021, Deepika Padukone is all set to enter one of the busiest phases in her career. The actor who is busy fast wrapping up Shakun Batra’s relationship drama recently took out time for the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathan and shot for two days. As per reports, this might just turn out to be normal for her as the actor is all set to juggle between the sets in 2021 as the list of films in her kitty is long. If you are unaware, Deepika’s list of upcoming films is probably the longest amid the female actor and at par with Akshay Kumar. The actor who is busy shooting for Shakun Batra’s film, also has Pathan, the remake of the Hollywood classic The Intern, the Mahabharat trilogy that stars her as Draupadi, and Nag Ashwin’s next alongside Prabhas. Between this, she will also be seen in a special appearance in ’83, which has already been completed.
Talking about her schedule, Deepika Padukone is fast wrapping the film alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday. The major portion of which is expected to be done in the next two weeks. The report in Mumbai Mirror also says that the actor will then reunite the Shakun Batra team in January for a song shoot. After which she is expected to fly to Abu Dhabi with Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham to kick some baddies in Pathan. The team will be shooting for some intense action sequences there which also include Deepika, as she plays an undercover agent.
Between this, as per the report, Deepika Padukone will also join Prabhas on the sets of Nag Ashwin’s next. “Pathan will be shot till the mid-next year, but Deepika will start work on Nag Ashwin’s next directorial with Prabhas in the first quarter of 2021. A futuristic sci-fi with lots of thrills, it will also have her performing some daredevil stunts,” a source said.
Deepika Padukone will also begin work on The Intern Remake mid next year. “2021 will be the first year since 2013 when Deepika will juggle multiple films. After completing these assignments by the year-end, she’ll jump into the period epic, Mahabharat. Deepika plays the role of Draupadi and will get into extensive prep for it, before rolling it by early 2022. She will devote almost half the year to it,” the source concludes.
It seems like Deepika Padukone is entering a roller coaster in 2021. But for us, it churns out some great films; we are waiting.
