Vir Das has received another International Emmy nomination for his Netflix special Vir Das: Fool Volume. The special has been nominated in the Comedy category for the 2026 International Emmy Awards.
The nomination marks the latest recognition for Vir Das and Netflix at the International Emmys. It is also his third recognition at the awards for a Netflix special.
Vir Das’ International Emmy History
In 2023, he won the Best Comedy Series award for Vir Das: Landing and became the first Indian comedian to achieve that milestone. Before that, he was nominated in 2021 for another Netflix special, Vir Das: For India. He also hosted the International Emmys in 2024, becoming the first Indian to host the ceremony.

Vir Das Reacts To Fool Volume’s Emmy Nomination
Talking about the nomination, the comedian said, “Every few years, Netflix and I find a new reason to get together and make something slightly foolish… I mean, funny. I’m humbled all over again to be nominated for an International Emmy. Fool Volume is about silence — what it means to have a voice, and what happens when you actually use it. I’m deeply grateful to the jury, audiences, my team, and Netflix for giving me the space to make work I believe in. And to everyone who has laughed along the way — clearly, my delusion is contagious.”

The winners of the International Emmy Awards 2026 will be announced at the awards ceremony in New York on November 23, 2026.
