Avengers: Endgame brought together almost every Marvel superhero for an unforgettable final battle against Thanos. However, one detail about Ant-Man, aka Scott Lang, in the movie has raised a question among eagle-eyed fans like me.
Midway through the movie, Scott made it quite clear that the Avengers were running dangerously low on Pym particles for time travel. They had just enough for each member to go back in time and come back, along with some for test runs. If the shortage was so severe, then how was Ant-Man still constantly changing his size during the battle?
Thanks to Thanos, Hank Pym and Hope van Dyne were also out of the picture back then. So, how did he manage to get those extra Pym particles?

How Does Ant-Man’s Suit Use Pym Particles Differently From The Rest Of The Avengers?
The biggest clue to the Avengers: Endgame mystery lies in the difference between how Ant-Man uses Pym Particles during the battle and how the Avengers use them for time travel. If you’ve seen the Ant-Man movies, you’ll know the amount of Pym Particles Scott needs to switch sizes during a fight.
It’s very little compared to what the Avengers team needed to travel through the Quantum Realm. During the Time Heist, we have seen every Avenger carry their own vials, and each of their supply determined how many trips they could make. But their empty vials didn’t mean Scott was out of Pym supply.
How Did Ant-Man Manage To Use Pym Particles During Final Battle?
In fact, his Ant-Man suit already has preloaded Pym particles. So that allows him to keep switching sides and fight even after the Time Heist is completed. His helmet and suit regulator helped control his transformation, and it was never mentioned that his personal Pym supply was exhausted.
Besides, in the Avengers: Endgame movie, we also see Steve Rogers taking Pym Particles from Hank Pym’s lab back in 1970. Although we never got a clear count from the movies of how many were left after the time heist, the Avengers no longer had a shortage.
Meanwhile, Hulk’s snap in the climax of the movie brings everyone back, along with Hank Pym and Hope van Dyke. Their return can also restore access to the people behind the technology. This pretty much sums up how Scott can continue using his size-changing abilities even after Endgame.
