Bridgerton Season 3 will premiere on Netflix in 2024. The upcoming season has been divided into two parts. The first part will be released on May 16, while the second is scheduled for June 13. Many wouldn’t know, but it is one of the most expensive series ever. From budget and cost per episode to salaries, below is the breakup of the historical fiction romance.

The first season premiered on Christmas 2020. It was defined as a crossover between Downtown Abbey and Gossip Girl. The Netflix series was a rage among netizens, especially the sizzling chemistry of Phoebe Dynevor and Rege-Jean Page. Fans were disheartened to learn that the Duke Of Hastings would not reprise his character in the second season. But what’s further heartbreaking is that even Phoebe has marked her exit from the show after its sequel.

Bridgerton Cost Per Episode

Chris Van Dusen has planned eight episodes per season, which means a total of 16 episodes from the first two seasons. As mentioned earlier, Bridgerton Season 3 is split into two parts, each with four episodes. In total, there will be 24 episodes of the show.

As per a report by The Sun, each episode of Bridgerton costs a whopping $7 million. This means Netflix has invested a total of $168 million in the three seasons.

Bridgerton Cast Salaries

The estimated budget is exclusive of production costs, marketing, promotions, and, of course, cast salaries. As per multiple reports, Phoebe Dynevor, who played the leading role of Daphne Bridgerton in Seasons 1 and 2, was the highest-paid member of the cast. Netflix reportedly paid her a sum of $504K.

Rege-Jean Page was also offered a staggering sum of $50,000 to return for Season 2, but he politely declined the offer.

What made Bridgerton a success?

The show was inclusive, so the masses viewed it at large. The star cast was also diverse, including Adjoa Andoh, Nicola Coughlan, Ruby Barker, Simone Ashley, Luke Newton, Lorraine Ashbourne, Sabrina Bartlett, and Bessier Carter, among many others.

This isn’t a usual conservative drama but empowers people of color and women. The sensual scenes and the honest portrayal of s*xual tension between suitors also made it relatable for many.
