Citadel Season 2 Ending Explained: Is Manticore Destroyed?

Joana is one more ruthless character to step into the storyline of Citadel. She plans to change the order of the world and gain power in a single day. While she is focused on her goal, aiming at the world, it is severe and dangerous. In Citadel Season 2, we see Joana plotting a scheme to assassinate the Russian president. This will erase every obstacle in her path to gaining access to the Russian satellites and dominating the world, as she will gain full control over global powers. All of this happens during the G8 summit.

Enter Nadia and Mason, who are trying their best to stop Joana’s mission. With the Manticore agents spread throughout the G8 summit and security tight, the leads of the series are seen struggling to enter the summit.

Towards the very end, we see Nadia and Mason finally coming face to face with Joana. After struggling for a long time, they somehow reach the summit, and now the leads have to stop Joana from assassinating the Russian entity. Meanwhile, they also aim to stop her from taking control of the Russian satellite, but the task is that they have to do it before the satellite becomes active.

Following a brief battle, we see the Manticore network being hit. However, the twist is that it is not destroyed. While both Nadia and Mason safely avert the imminent danger lurking in the shadows, the threat remains. We might see it coming back at them and the world in future events.
