Suriya’s film, Scene, was released in theatres on November 6, along with Nayanthara’s Mookuthi Amman 2. On a broader scale, the film also clashed with Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana: Part 1. Despite this, Suriya managed to register his biggest opening of 2026. He has had three releases so far this year (Karuppu, Vishwanath And Sons, and Scene). The recent release is well on its way to matching the success of his two earlier releases this year.
Jithu Madhavan’s directorial also stars Nazriya Nazim and Naslen. The Tamil film has been well received by both audiences and critics. The movie started on a great note and maintained its momentum on Day 2 as well, but not as strongly as Karuppu and Vishwanath And Sons.
How Much Did Scene Earn In 2 Days?
The film had a strong opening of 19.15 crore net in India. It became Suriya’s third-biggest opening after Kanguva and Retro. On Day 2, the film saw a growth of 5.7%, bringing in 20.25 crore net. On Day 2, the film had 500 fewer shows than on its opening day, and the occupancy rate rose to 67% from 55%. This brings its India total to 39.4 crore, which translates to 46.49 crore gross. Overseas, the film has grossed 18 crore, bringing its worldwide total to 64.49 crore.

Fails To Match Karuppu, Vishwanath And Sons
What’s interesting is that Scene managed to surpass the opening-day collections of both Karuppu and Vishwanath And Sons. However, its Day 2 collection is below those of both its earlier releases. While Karuppu scored 24.15 crore net on Day 2, Vishwanath And Sons earned 22.25 crore net on Day 2.
