Tabu is one of India’s most celebrated actresses and is known for her roles in Hum Saath-Saath Hai and Drishyam. Besides, she has also done roles in foreign projects such as The Namesake and Life of Pi. Now, the talented actress is set to make her mark in Hollywood once again with the HBO series Dune: Prophecy. This prequel to the Dune film series delves into the origins of the Bene Gesserit sisterhood, set 10,000 years before the rise of Paul Atreides.
The Dune franchise was first penned down by Frank Herbert in 1965 with his novel. The recent adaptation of Dune movie by Denis Villeneuve has introduced the saga to a wider audience, and the lore is now set to expand with this HBO Max series. Indian fans are quite excited about this series, not just because of Dune, but also because of the involvement of Tabu. In a recent announcement, Tabu revealed her debut in “Dune: Prophecy” and shared details about her character’s significance within the narrative.
Tabu’s Dune Prophecy Episode Will Premier on December 15
Tabu will enter the show in its fifth episode. The series premiered on November 17, 2024, and its fifth episode will drop on December 15. The episode is titled “In Blood, Truth” and is set to be the penultimate episode of the first season. It is written by Carlito Rodriguez & Leah Benavides Rodriguez. Fans can watch the show on HBO Max, while fans in India can watch the episode on December 16 on JioCinema.

Per the show’s description, Tabu’s character Sister Francesca is a formidable member of the Bene Gesserit and the former lover of the Emperor. Her return in the fifth episode is set to disrupt the delicate balance of power in the capital. Charithra Chandran plays a younger version of Francesca, with flashbacks exploring her early life and romantic relationship with the Emperor.
Besides Tabu, Dune: Prophecy boasts a beautiful cast. Emily Watson, Travis Fimmel, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Aoife Hinds, Chloe Lea, and Faoileann Cunningham are among the names who are winning fans over with their acting.
