Dhoom 3 record of 280.25 crore is all set to be broken this weekend. Sultan, after bringing in 48.8 crores in its second week, has now accumulated 277.96 crores. With no real competition from Bollywood this week, the film will bring in enough moolah by Saturday, if not by Friday itself, to beat  the Aamir Khan starrer’s record.

Once that happens, Salman Khan would have the second (Bajrangi Bhaijaan) and third highest (Sultan) grosser ever to his name, while Aamir Khan would continue to rule from the top (PK). As for the film’s race to enter the 300 crore club, it continues to be a touch and go situation.

As for Great Grand Masti, it has come to a premature end, what with just 13 crore* coming in the entire Week One. The film has collected the lowest when compared to other adult comedies (Kya Kool Hain Hum 3 and Mastizaade) and one waits to see if and when the next film belonging to this genre with notable actors hit the screens. For now, it seems that would have to wait for quite some time though.
