Mardaani 2 Box Office: Rani Mukerji’s Mardaani 2 is continuing its successful weekdays’ march by putting up some stable numbers. Although a bigger start at the box office, would have ensured much brighter prospects for the movie, nevertheless, its grip over the footfalls is commendable.
Speaking about today i.e. day 6, Mardaani 2 is off to a start with an occupancy of 9-10% in morning shows across the country, which is almost the same when compared with yesterday’s 9-11%. The movie will surely pick up its pace during evening and night shows, thus another stable day is on the cards.
Directed by Gopi Puthran, Mardaani 2 is a sequel to 2014 success Mardaani. In the movie, Rani Mukerji reprises her character of Shivani Shivaji Roy.
Meanwhile, before the release of the movie, Rani Mukerji took to the streets of Mumbai to meet traffic police officers, saw them in action and discussed with them how they tirelessly keep us safe.
“Traffic cops hold the key to preventing a lot of crimes and they do their jobs diligently to keep us, our families and daughters safe. I met several traffic cops and especially the female traffic cops to educate myself on the measures being taken by them to prevent crime in our city,” Rani said.
“We as a society should laud the tireless work that traffic cops put in every single day braving the scorching sun and the pouring rain.”
The actress, who is reprising her role as the fierce police officer Shivani Shivaji Roy in the film, added that she wants to bring out their stories to the people of India.
