Ayushmann Khurrana is all geared up with his latest film Article 15, releasing today. The actor is on a roll with back to back four successes including Badhaai Ho, AndhaDhun, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan and Bareilly Ki Barfi at the box office. The investigational drama is directed by Mulk fame Anubhav Sinha. The film highlights the issue of casteism. Article 15 of the Indian Constitution, prohibits discrimination on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth.
Made on a moderate budget, the movie has everything working in its favour, right from the appreciation to trailer to positive reviews of critics, thus providing an impetus on the first day.

Badhaai Ho earned 7.29 crores on its opening day, thus making it Ayushmann’s biggest opener till date. The film revolves around a taboo concept regarding pregnancy of the elderly mother. It clashed with Namaste England, which had Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra.
Nautanki Saala earned 3.25 crores on the first day. The movie had clashed with Commando. Directed by Rohan Sippy it is an Indian romantic comedy.
Shubh Mangal Saavdhan
Shubh Mangal Saavdhan featured Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar and got warm feedback at the box office. The movie has been directed by R.S. Prasanna and gathered 2.71 crores on the first day.
Ayushmann and Tabu who were the show stealers in this comic-thriller. The movie received highly positive reviews and made 2.70 crores on an opening day. It clashed with Aayush Sharma and Warina Hussain’s LoveYatri.
Bareilly Ki Barfi
This is a cute comic film set at Bareilly. It got a modest opening of 2.42 crores. It was directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and featured Rajkummar Rao and Kriti Sanon in lead roles, apart from Ayushmann.
Based on the hard-hitting reality of India, it will be interesting to see how this Ayushmann Khurrana starrer will fare on the first day and if manages to make it to the list.
