Rumors of a catfight between our Bollywood beauties are nothing uncommon. One such speculation of a cold war was between Anushka Sharma and Deepika Padukone. It was said that things turned bitter between the two after Ranveer Singh started dating Deepika Padukone. For the unversed, there were strong rumors of Anushka and Ranveer dating while shooting for the 2010 romantic comedy Band Baaja Baarat. However, the two never admitted to the same. Hence, there were speculations that Anushka and Deepika did not get along too well because of the same. However, did you know that Anushka had once allegedly taken a dig at Deepika too?
According to Bollywood Shaadi, Anushka Sharma was asked about not getting the same stardom as her contemporaries, Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor, in one of her old interactions with a publication. The question seemingly was, “You really haven’t stirred up the industry as actresses like Deepika and Sonam have. Why?” To this, the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil actress quickly replied that she has given back-to-back hits and is rather known for her talent.
Anushka Sharma said, “I don’t know. You tell me. Having given three hits back-to-back in three years, I wonder why there is not as much hype about me as them. Actually, I am glad that I am known for my talent and not for my clothes or controversies.” Her reply was considered somewhat of a jibe at Deepika Padukone and had caused quite a huge stir on the internet.

Apart from this, there was also an old video of Anushka Sharma doing the rounds wherein she was irritated after Deepika Padukone kissed her cheeks upon greeting her. Well, time and again, rumors of a beef between the two surfaced, but it seems like there is no bad blood between the duo now. They also follow each other on social media. Deepika Padukone married Ranveer Singh in 2018 and welcomed their daughter Dua this year in September. Anushka Sharma tied the knot with Virat Kohli in 2017 and the couple are parents to two children namely Vamika and Akaay.
