Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai literally took everyone’s breath away when they were paired opposite each other in the stylized action franchise Dhoom 2. However, their lip-lock scene in the film became the talk of the town, with reports about the Bachchan family allegedly not being happy about it.
Now, an old interview of the Jodha Akbar actor is going viral on the internet amidst the Bachchan family, grabbing headlines for some reason or another every day. In the interview, Hrithik is asked about the on-screen kiss and the Bachchan family’s alleged anger toward it.
Talking to Headlines Today, in an old interview, Hrithik Roshan was asked, “That whole kissing controversy and the Bachchans being allegedly upset with the kissing scene. How did you take it when you first read about it?”

The actor was invested in how he envisioned the scene and shot it with the help of his then-wife Sussanne. Hrithik explained, “Well, there is just one thing to say about that kiss scene: it came from this one big condition that Sussanne had put on me. When she said that if you are going to do this, make sure that it is the best damn kiss in the whole wide world.”
Hrithik Roshan further said, “So the only thing on my mind was that I really had to live up to that expectation. That’s the only reason why I was tense while watching Dhoom. It has got to make the great with her. So that went off well.”
The old interview from the 2000s is now going viral on social media, and Reddit has been discussing how Hrithik Roshan made this interview even more awkward. A Redditor wrote, “Hrithik cannot handle questions.” Another comment read, “Imagine your wife asking you to make sure you have your best kiss, and then it becomes the most awkward kiss you have ever done in your lifetime.”
For the unversed, Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan were praised for their chemistry in Dhoom 2. The film also starred Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra.
