Will AR Rahman and Saira Banu Reconcile?
When asked if there is a possibility of reconciliation between AR Rahman and Saira Banu, Vandana Shah said there is still a chance. “I have not said that reconciliation is not possible. I am an eternal optimist who always talks about love and romance.”
“The joint statement is quite clear. It talks about pain and separation. It’s a long marriage, and much thought has come into this decision, but nowhere have I said reconciliation is impossible”.
AR Rahman and Saira Banu announced their split earlier this month after 29 years of marriage. They had tied the knot in 1995. “Despite their deep love for each other, the couple has found that the tensions and difficulties have created an insurmountable gap between them, one that neither party feels able to bridge at this time,” the couple’s joint statement read at the time.
