Released in 2019, the Malayalam drama grabbed the attention of both the audience and critics equally due to its strong storyline and performances by Parvathy Thiruvothu, Asif Ali, Tovino Thomas, and others. The film revolves around the central character, Parvathy, a strong and determined girl with aspirations to become a pilot. But all her dreams and ambitions to be a pilot comes crashing down following a cowardly acid attack on her by a possessive and abusive ex-boyfriend with whom she cut off all the ties, a few days before the incident.
From there on, it follows the journey of how the central character goes through all the hardships and criticism after what her ex did to her. But despite all the odds against her, she rises like a phoenix bird with her strong will and determination and never bows down and loses her focus from her goals.
2) Super Deluxe
The Tamil thriller venture helmed by Thiagarajan Kumararaja with powerhouse performers like Vijay Sethupathi, Samantha Akkineni, Fahadh Faasil, Ramya Krishnan in key roles, the edge of the seat thriller including four intriguing stories, all interrelating to each other in one or the other way had the audience in taking. The film garnered numerous accolades and was also premiered at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, and the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts.
Super Deluxe has a separate fan base, the actors in the thriller nailed their respective characters with their natural performances. The role which Vijay Sethupathi played as a transgender named Shilpa was something that not many can pull off the way he did. The Tamil superstar has mentioned in an interview that after hearing the narration he agreed instantly and had literally requested his director Thiagarajan Kumararaja not to replace him.
The political action film with Thalapathy Vijay in lead, revolves around a well-established NRI businessman who returns back to his hometown in Chennai for State Assembly election. Only to find out that someone already has cast a fraud vote in his name. The central character approaches the state election commission where he finds out that he isn’t the only one who has been victim of fraud voting but there are many others too who have been targeted by the fraudsters.
The Thalapathy Vijay starrer helmed by A R Murugadoss was the highest grosser in Kollywood in 2018. Sarkar garnered 100-crore Gross Worldwide in just two days of its release.

The Telugu family drama which released early this year with Allu Arjun in lead revolves around the central character who is originally born to rich parents but is swapped by one of their employees after his birth, following the hatred the employee has for his boss. The employee raises the child i.e Allu Arjun in the poor atmosphere and blaming him for all the ill-fortune.
The film which released in January had all good to hear from cine-goers all across, and it is termed to be the biggest blockbusters in Telugu cinema after Baahubali series and Saaho at the box office.
The fantasy comical film by B V Nandini Reddy with Samantha Akkineni, Lakshmi, Naga Shaurya and Rajendra Prasad in key roles had the audience taking in theatres. The film revolves around a 70-year-old canteen maid named Baby who is infamous for short temperament and dominant nature, following which she is disliked by her daughter in law and further a family fight leads her to pack the bags and leave the home. But following a certain incidence, the 70 year old character transforms into a 24-year-old self and how her life changes completely.
The film which released last year had a great run in cinemas and was also one of the most successful releases that Tollywood had delivered last year.
