Chiyaan Vikram is all set for his next release. The makers of his upcoming film dropped the title of the film with a power-packed announcement video. Unlike usual title announcement videos, which focus on the lead actor in a grand avatar, Power House also offers a glimpse of the other characters in the film while exploring the protagonist’s dual nature.
The title announcement video of Vikram’s next begins with the star walking into a home carrying a bunch of bananas on his shoulder. As he walks into the house, we see that he runs a catering service with his family, including his mother and sister. As he enters the house wearing a white mundu and shirt, two people give him an update on the wedding lunch arrangements. We also hear Vikram on a phone call with a client, assuring them of the lunch services.
The video also sees Riya Shibu as Vikram’s older sister. The actress rose to popularity with her performance in the Malayalam film Sarvam Maya. The actress is also seen in a bubbly role in this film. We are also introduced to the character of veteran actress Urvashi, who plays Vikram’s mother. They seem like a happy family, but the tone of the video soon changes.

We see Vikram walk into the storeroom of the house and get into quite a serious avatar. This is where we see Vikram’s stardom. Vikram’s walk and attitude change once he is out of his family’s sight. He takes a mop and bucket and cleans floors covered in blood. He also has two men in captivity. One person is tied to a chair while another is hanging upside down from the ceiling. When the man tries to free himself, Vikram tells him to stop moving, or he will die from brain damage.
The video ends on a high note. Vikram walks near the man and looks into his eyes and says, “Buddy, why the rush? I have just started to cook. Not letting you go without serving a full meal. 100% guarantee.” The video ends with upbeat folk music, with the title appearing on screen.
It’s been over a year since Vikram was last seen on the big screen. He was last seen in the film Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2. The actor is one of the country’s biggest stars and undoubtedly a talented performer. However, the actor has not had a massive hit in recent times. Power House seems like the kind of movie made for the big screen and does justice to his superstardom. If the story and execution work, Vikram is potentially looking at a box-office blockbuster.
