Some movies/ characters become the identity of an actor. While it proves how much people love them in those roles, it also has its drawback. No matter which other better work these actors do, viewers will mainly remember them for playing the one particular character. Daniel Radcliffe, Robert Downey Jr, Robert Pattinson and others are a perfect example of the same. Despite the actors being a part of several amazing movies, many remember them for Harry Potter, Twilight & Iron Man respectively. Today, we are going to tell you some other, and better movies Pattinson starred in that will prove he’s more than just the Twilight actor.
People either love this movie or dislike it; there’s no in-between. There’s broken family, daddy issues, dreams, smiles and a terrifying ending. Robert looks dreamy in every frame. The casting of Emilie de Ravin and Pierce Brosnan works in favour of the movie. When you think the movie is over, it breaks your heart with a shocking ending.
The movie is based on the life of popular 1950s rising star, James Dean. Actor Dane Dehaan portrays Jamea Dean, and Robert Pattinson plays the photographer Dennis Stock. It shows how Dean became a rebellious and cultural icon for the youth of that time due to his movie characters and personality. Dennis Stock is the photographer who’d spent adequate time with the actor and clicked some of his beautiful pics and observed his life closely than anyone else. If the life of such unconventional artists interests you, this one should be a must-watch on your list.
Harry Potter & The Goblet Of Fire
How can we not include this? Robert plays the handsome and kind Cedric Diggory in the movie starring Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint. Despite being just in one film as a supporting character, fans loved him. Of course, you will have to watch the other HP movies in order, to catch up on this one. But the Tenet actor looks his handsome best in this one.
This psychological thriller by Robert Eggers has explored Robert Pattinson’s calibre as an actor thoroughly. Also starring Willen Dafoe, this isn’t for faint-hearted. The story is set during the late 19th century. We witness the horrific experience of two lighthouse keepers trying to maintain their sanity and survive together at a far off island where they are stationed. One can’t quickly figure out if what’s happening is just an illusion or real horror. It’s shot in black and white; square frame with an aspect ratio of 1.19:1. These settings play a crucial role in making this appear as not just a cinematic brilliance but incredibly eerie.
As the title suggests, this is a historical period drama. This 2019 Netflix movie is quite underrated, and so are the performances in it. Timothee Chalamet plays the lead role while Robert Pattinson plays the bad guy, The Dauphin. Every time Robert comes on the screen in this movie, you can’t help but think what an impeccable performer he is! Chalamet is just as good as Pattinson is in The King.
Up next, the actor is all set to make his debut in a superhero movie, The Batman. The teaser has already got fans talking good about the film. The expectations are high and for all the right reasons. Watch these movies so that you know he’s more than just a Twilight star!
