You Can See Everything at the North American box office
The A24 documentary grossed a spectacular $3.6 million on its third Friday at the North American box office. It is the biggest third Friday ever for documentaries. How much does it need to beat Fahrenheit 9/11 at the domestic box office?
Fahrenheit 9/11 was released in 2004; it is a documentary by Michael Moore about the presidency of George W. Bush, the Iraq War, and the media’s coverage of the war. It emerged as the all-time highest-grossing non-music documentary at the box office in North America.
Trending
According to the Box Office Mojo data, Fahrenheit 9/11 collected $119.2 million at the domestic box office in its lifetime. The A24 documentary is less than $65 million away from beating the domestic haul of Fahrenheit 9/11 as the all-time biggest non-music documentary. It needs a jump of over 109% at the domestic box office to achieve this feat. The film is currently tracking to earn between $90 million and $100 million in its box office run. If it lands in this range, the A24 documentary will have to end its box-office run below Fahrenheit 9/11.
