But do you know the superstar has five tattoos dedicated to his iconic role? Scroll below for all the details!

Many wouldn’t know, but Disney wasn’t convinced with Johnny’s portrayal as Jack Sparrow. They believed he was ruining the character and even ended up speculating if he was gay. While the studios were scared that the film would tank at the box office, it received massive praise upon release.

Johnny Depp’s homage to Pirates Of The Caribbean

Johnny Depp may have disassociated himself from Pirates Of The Caribbean, but his love for Captain Jack Sparrow will live forever. The actor named his son Jack and even got a tattoo of his name on his right hand. Inspired by the Pirates Of The Caribbean saga, he also has an ink of the sun setting over the sea. There is also a sparrow around the sun on the same arm, another homage to his iconic role.

Apart from the above, Johnny Depp also has a skull and a crossbones tattoo among his other dedications for Pirates Of The Caribbean. All in all, JD has five tattoos in memory of Jack Sparrow.

Johnny Depp has about 40 tattoos in total, all connected to different phases of his life. This includes an ink of his daughter’s name, Lily-Rose Depp, symbols of his relationships with Vanessa Paradis and Winona Ryder, among others.
