Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia‘s The Vvaan has been enjoying decent buzz in the last few days. The trailer and songs have worked well with audiences, building some momentum ahead of its release. It is arriving in theaters tomorrow (September 25), and advance bookings have already started at the Indian box office. With more shows getting allocated, the film has started posting decent-to-good numbers through day 1 pre-sales.
The full showcasing hasn’t been allocated yet, and the current show count stands close to 4,000. The biggest hurdle here is Hanuman Ansh, which is showing no signs of exhaustion. The devotional drama will definitely retain a chunk of shows, but still, this upcoming fantasy thriller is expected to secure a good show count by the end of the day. The average ticket price is 228 rupees.
The Vvaan crosses the 1 crore mark in day 1 advance bookings
Coming to the day 1 advance booking update, The Vvaan has sold 42K tickets (excluding blocked seats), as of 11:30 am IST. In terms of collections, the film has grossed 1.03 crore at the Indian box office through opening-day pre-sales. It net collections, it equals 87 lakh. As of yesterday at 4:30 pm IST, the film stood at 33 lakh gross. So, in 19 hours, it saw a huge 212% jump, which is an encouraging sign and shows that there’s hype among moviegoers.

Among states, Delhi is in the lead with almost 24 lakh gross, followed by Maharashtra’s 16.11 lakh. Among cities, the Delhi-NCR region tops the charts with almost 24 lakh gross, followed by Mumbai’s 9.83 lakh gross.
Opening weekend pre-sales update
For the 3-day opening weekend, The Vvaan has sold tickets worth 2.43 crore (excluding blocked seats). Of this, 42.39% bookings are for the first day itself. Since there is no new competitor in the Hindi market, the film has the potential to grow well over the weekend if early reviews and audience reactions are favorable. In this case, it’ll see a significant rise in advance bookings for Saturday and Sunday.
