As per the final day 1 advance booking update, Scene sold 6.41 lakh tickets (excluding blocked seats) before the first show started. In terms of collections, it has grossed a solid 11.04 crore at the Indian box office through opening-day pre-sales. In net collections, it equals 9.36 crore. Such numbers for a controlled-budget film are impressive, paving the way for a strong start.

With 11.04 crore gross, Scene has registered Suriya’s highest day 1 advance bookings at the Indian box office. It surpassed Kanguva (10.16 crore) to claim the top spot. This clearly indicates that the actor is set for a huge start with his latest biggie. In his home state alone, the film has sold tickets worth 9.6 crore for the first day.
Suriya’s biggest opening on the cards?
Currently, Kanguva holds the record for the biggest opening in Suriya’s career, with 24 crore net. Given the record advances, the latest Kollywood entertainer is definitely targeting 20 crore net today, and with early reactions in favor, the response through over-the-counter ticket sales will be good as well.
