The Tamil spy action thriller opened with 4.5 crore on day 1, followed by 2.45 crore on day 2. On day 3, it dropped further, scoring 2.2 crore. On the first Sunday, day 4, it saw marginal growth, adding another 2.45 crore to the kitty. Such collections show that the film was significantly affected by mixed-to-poor reviews and word-of-mouth. Overall, the film has earned 11.6 crore, which equals 13.69 crore gross. With this trend, it is heading towards a lifetime collection of below 20-25 crore net.

In the 4-day extended opening weekend, Sardar 2 scored 11.6 crore net, which is much below its predecessor Sardar. Three years later, the second installment scored 34.75% less, which is really shocking.
Sardar did a business of 54.99 crore net during its lifetime run; on the other hand, Sardar 2 won’t even reach half of that. It’s a big box office flop!
