How much did Ramayana earn at the Indian box office on day 1?
While advance bookings worth 40 crore+ gross were indicating a start of 80 crore or more in net collections, reality was quite different. It has been learned that the film scored approx. 65 crore net at the Indian box office on day 1, including all languages. It equals 76.7 crore gross. In Hindi alone, it earned approx. 47.65 crore net, which is much lower than what was expected. The occupancy graph showed an upward trend throughout the day, but it wasn’t on the expected lines, and the main reason is the pre-Diwali period.
Occupancy-wise, Ramayana performed well in the dubbed versions, with the biggest pie coming from the Kannada version at 7.25 crore net. In Telugu, the film earned 6 crore net. Tamil added another 2.6 crore net, followed by Malayalam at 1.5 crore net.
