Race 3 Box Office: The dawn of Race franchise happened in 2008 when talented people like Saif Ali Khan, Akshaye Khanna and Abbas-Mustan came together to elevate the level of spy thrillers in India. In 2013, the bar was raised yet again redefining the coolness & hotness by having John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez on board.
2018 is going to be huger than ever because the makers decided to bring Blockbuster Khan – Salman Khan on board for Race 3. Even the director’s seat has been taken over by Remo D’Souza and we’re sure as his sleek choreography, the sequences would also be smoothly choreographed.
In 2008 Race opened to a very good number of 6 crores on its opening day and went on to collect approx 21 crores in its opening weekend. The lifetime collections of Race is around 60 crores. Then came Race 2 which released in 2013 clocked 15.10 crores on its 1st day and 51.30 crores in its 1st weekend. The movie made 102 crores during its lifetime at the box office.
So, 60 crores + 102 crores equals to 162 crores & there is no question whether or not Race 3 will cross it, the real question is how many days it will take to cross it. Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai collected 206.04 crores in its 1st week but Tubelight ended it with just 106.86 crores. Sultan enjoyed a 5 day weekend and earned 229.16 crores. Bajrangi Bhaijaan earned a massive 184.62 crores in its 1st week.
So, what do you guys think, in how many days Race 3 will cross the combined collections of Race and Race 2? Vote your choice and share your thoughts in the comments section below.
