Ramleela after witnessing a pompous entry into the 100 crore club, has so far made a lifetime income of 101 crores at the domestic box office. The film that was made on an estimated budget of 35 crores, has so far raked up a profit of 66 crores. Taking the film profit rate to 188%, the film has surpassed Jolly LLB and Murder 3‘s Profit Rate as well at the box office.

However, it is a challenge for the film to surpass the profit rate of Chennai Express. Having the inherent advantage of being a Shah Rukh khan starrer and a Rohit Shetty directorial, the film with a lifetime run of 226.70 crores, garnered a profit rate 202%. Though the mark won’t be extremely difficult for Ramleela, but given that it will be entering its third week, there is a good chance that the film will fail to beat Chennai Express‘ profit.

  1. Koimoi should stop this childish method of judging hit and flops just by measuring percentage of profit while completely ignoring the actual amount and margin of profit. For example Krrish 3 ,has earned massive above 100 crore profit. But it is just hit in the books of koimoi and not a blockbuster.
