EXCLUSIVE! Neena Gupta Has NO Memory Of The Throwback Picture She Shared With Panchayat Co-Star Raghubir Yadav

Amid the lockdown period, a lot of celebrities are sharing interesting throwback pictures on social media. While some are sharing their childhood pictures, some have posted throwbacks from their old projects. Recently, actress Neena Gupta shared a throwback picture with her newly launched web series Panchayat’s co-star Raghubir Yadav and the picture is winning the internet for all the right reasons.

When Koimoi.com contacted Neena Gupta to know the backstory behind the picture and the actress told us, “Interestingly, I have no memory of the picture, it’s apparently a still from a pilot that we had shot for some show for Doordarshan. I received this picture yesterday from someone and thought this was the apt time to post it, as we have recently done Panchayat together.”

When asked about what kind of response she has been getting from the audience for Panchayat and the possibility of a second season, the actress said, “The response that is coming is great and very unexpected. People are loving the show and due to the lockdown period, the viewership has increased. About the second season, I don’t know when it will come but I hope that the writers are writing it now that they have so much time on their hands.”

Amazon Prime Series Panchayat is a comedy-drama that revolves around Abhishek Tripathi played by Jitendra Kumar, who is born and brought up in a city but his job brings him to a small village in UP named Phulera. His ordeals of life in rural India, is what the series is about. Neena Gupta and Raghubir Yadav play the roles of Pradhaan and Pradhaan Pati respectively.
