Back in June, when Salman Khan announced the preponing of Sooryavanshi along with a picture of director Rohit Shetty, a lot of rage was seen amongst the Akshay Kumar fans for not having a mention of their favourite despite being the male lead in the project. The clash with Inshallah might have been averted but chunk of followers that Akshay was kept away from the big decision, and although the actor urged his fans to stop the negativity, he is now speaking in length about it all!
Akshay is currently busy with the promotions of his upcoming film, Mission Mangal. During an interview with PTI, when asked about his stance on Sooryavanshi release being preponed in order to avoid clash with the Salman Khan starrer, he responded, “It is always a good sign that the two movies do not come at the same time. It is good that it (clash) is averted. However, the clash between any two films is likely to happen. We are making 210 Hindi films and we have 52 weeks in a year so we are bound to have two or more films releasing on the same date.”
But another twist came in when his recently announced Bachchan Pandey was slated for a Chistmas 2020 release, which means a clash with Aamir Khan’s Lal Singh Chaddha and Ranbir Kapoor-Ajay Devgn’s next with Luv Ranjan. When the actor was asked about that, “The clash is bound to happen,” said the actor.
This means the three-way Christmas 2020 clash is here to stay from Akki’s side, until and unless the makers of the rest decide to move their release dates!
